Getting School Done

Much has been written about GTD (Getting Things Done) software, and i won’t add to the conversation pool, but here is a tool i swear by:

Schoolhouse: This programme sustained me throughout my Honours year. It kept me updated about deadlines and timelines, and left me a wreck everytime i was reminded of upcoming meetings with my supervisor. Subjects are arranged according to semester, and assignments are slotted clearly under the subject headings to keep your partying in check. Notes, files and other important data can be tacked onto an ‘assignment’, turning a complicated mess of a project into a comprehensive, easy to manage venture. I became rather allergic to  the maroon red that highlights missed deadlines, of which there were plenty that year.. The nifty calendar also gave me many sleepless nights. Thank you Logan Collins, freshman genius at the University of Kansas, for sorting out my academic life.

Schoolhouse GTD - the above screen cap is pleasing to me.

My post does no justice to the programme. Check out MacApper’s longer review to find out more about Schoolhouse’s amazing capabilities.
